Melbourne singer/songwriter Warde Elliott has, for many years, performed throughout Australia and abroad and released four albums prior to the latest single, “A Small Difference”. His albums feature some of Melbourne’s finest musicians and his songwriting has received accolades from the USA International Songwriting Competition, Australian Songwriters Competition and Unsigned Only (USA).
Warde is inspired by a variety of songwriters and his songs tell stories often influenced by personal experience.
After collaborating with drummer Ian Kitney to record the first album "Son of John" that band has continually evolved but there has been one constant for many moons - his long time friend and musical kin, guitarist Tim O’Donnell.
Warde and Tim share a mutual admiration of many great songwriters such as Springsteen, Neil Young, Dylan, Bowie and more.
The latest album with "The Nortons" (Tim O'Donnell and Pete Batt) is titled "Most Things Lose Their Shine"
LIVE PERFORMANCE
Whether it is solo, with "The Nortons", as a duet trio or full band you can be assured that all is given to every performance! Set lists are a blend of covers and original music. The proportions always depend on the mood of the gig.
Warde's vocals are unique & dynamic. From gentle to powerful... Tim's guitar playing is exquisite and tasteful. Pete adds another layer with piano and backing vocals that belie the beard.
What ever the combination the sound is rich and organic!
